A boy in my art class named Tony Bui called me a free spirit one day when he was either drunk and/or half asleep. He described to me sleepily exactly what he believed a free spirit to be, and to tell you the truth, it really stuck with me. I won't insult his words by trying to repeat them the best way I can, but in my mind, a free spirit is a determined girl (or guy) who enjoys breaking through normalities and conventionalism. In the photo (taken and modeled by ~ivorylily), she just looked like a free spirit, or like one should look.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
