Something beautifull may yet grow from the ruins of humanity.

This is a really old sketch I moved to my scraps gallery a while back. When I drew it I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like and how I wanted to do it, unfortunately I neither had the skill nor the instruments to create a fine piece of work...at the time.

BUT NOW, through painful amounts of experimentation scientists have created ME, a new ME, perfectly capable of making..this picture. They had a small budget.

I've been working on this for about a day maybe, bugging people with it constantly, so sorry to you all, you've been patient. Thanks.

EDIT: Wow, thanks.

This is gorgeous. To me it symbolizes the pain and self-detriment one will go through for beauty.

I've been looking at the most popular prints, and yours by far is most appealing to me. It was somewhere around 2000th most popular, and I think it deserves a spot in the 100 most popular. If I had money to buy prints, I'd buy this first. ;D

Keep up the good work. You're very skilled at bold lineart like this, so I suggest you do more! ^w^

Hey, maybe you can help me, I just bought a digital drawingboard and I draw stuff in Micromedia freehand, but I don't know in with format I should save the picture so the quality doesn't get messed up.

I just usually save mines in a jpeg format for posting, but i've heard png is really good. You'll want to save the original with all the layers as a seperate file too for resizing and in case you want to make them prints, trust me. You'll regret it if you don't.

Bah! I curse you for choosing this! It was such an experimental piece, so everyone watching me was like 'ooh so gothic, I like her' because they obviously didnt take the time to look at my other pieces. And now they're all disappointed! I blame ye!

I would so buy a print of this.
I love how you only used two colors, red and white. Makes for a very good contrast between the two.
The hand is lovely..I can never draw hands. :giggle:
I love the little roots or vines, and just all of it is very simplistic..clean. Nice to look at.

This is absolutely awesome! The colors work really well together, and the design keeps the eye moving around and around. It totally traps you into looking at it and soaking in every detail, every single line.
Again, it's really great.

The contrast is amazing, and the subtle colour scheme does this creation total justice.
I so like this... but I gotta nag on one tiny thing :) the semi transparent circles (perticularly the larger ones) seems to cloud up the otherwise flawless contrast flow of the image. The small cirlces/dots along the roots fit in very well. But I am not liking the ones on the nails. Just a personal thought to. It is still totally awesome, and I love it! Good job.
